Roxanne was born in the hospital in Alice Springs. She is the daughter of artist Dulcie Sharpe. Roxanne grew up with her aunty Trudy Inkamala out bush at Jay Creek. This was a happy time with lots of space and bush for playing. Roxanne went everyday on the bus to Yipirinya school and then boarded at both Yirara College and St Philips College in Alice Springs. She met her husband in town. They lived for a while at Jay Creek and then at his home in Mt Allan. Finally they moved to Larapinta Valley Town Camp when a house became available. Now Roxanne has four children. She loves being a mother. She loves her family. The art room is also good. She can come with her youngest child while the other three are at school and sew, and talk, and work things out for herself.
